Nutlidge ~ Chapter Twenty

Nutlidge ~ Chapter Twenty

Invisibilitea and Honestea

Under the tongue it went and she thought of herself as invisible and instantly she disappeared from humanity’s view. However, the three folk were still standing on her knee, and they could still see her.
“Are you okay Sky?” Asked Yellow Flower.
“Yes!” Said Sky giggling.
“Okay, come on then, I’ll sit on your shoulder until we are in there and then I will keep an eye on you. Perry, Winkle, go and help the other pixies with the cameramen and the telecast set up. We also need two keeping an eye on the guards by the entrance. Off you go, they’re waiting for you in the mouse hole near the entrance doors.”
The pixies disappeared from the cubicle and Sky went to open the door. It was locked. “Oh no!” She said, instantly worried.
“Don’t worry Sky, I locked it so no one would come in.” With that she wiggled her finger to release the lock. Nothing happened. She tried again, and still nothing happened. “Oh, well…” She said calmly, “You may have to climb over the door.” Suggested Yellow Flower. Podsinia hadn’t thought of this. She may have had the powers but she did not have the intelligence to use them properly!
Sky stood on the toilet seat and hoisted herself over the top and into the neighbouring cubicle. Then with Yellow Flower back on her shoulder again, she took off out the door and back into the great hall.
Most of the leaders were already seated except for a couple of odd figures that were taking their time.
The camera crews were set up and ready to go, reporters were checking their tape recorders and chatting quietly amongst them. Helping hands were everywhere flitting from here to there. Interpreters were also seated with those leaders who needed them.
Yellow Flower pointed out to Sky where to start. Standing in front of the long arched bench at one end, in the walkway, Sky got her measure out and scooped some tea. She held it over the top of the coffee mug along with the bottle and as she tipped the tea powder into the hot coffee, she allowed one drop of the potion into the cup also. They instantly sparkled and mixed themselves into the drink by the way of the tiniest bubbles. It was too small for the naked eye to notice.
She did this to the other drink containers and by Yellow Flowers instruction in her ear; she put three lots into the water jugs.
She worked her way along the row until she came to Willy Weed.
“No, leave him for a while,” said Yellow Flower. “Continue the row and come back around the other way. So Sky went and did as she was told.
The fairies were spread in strategic positions around the room ready to create a distraction enabling Sky to do her job without interruption.
The first speaker was of course Tom Coward. He rose in front of the cameras and spoke clearly to the worldwide audience that was out there listening.
“It gives me great pleasure to present to you our World Leaders’ Summit. On behalf of the Australian citizens, I would like to thank all of the World Leaders that have travelled to be here today at such short notice.
“We have gathered for the purpose, of finding a way to discuss the most important issues our world is facing today. Along with topics such as logging and wood chipping and trying to establish sanctions for saving and replanting more forests, more impending issues are present and they involve terrorism. We invite the media to witness our discussions here over the next few hours and trust the people at home will witness the peaceful outcomes of many issues…” He went on and on.

Grace was tuned in and set up for a long TV watch, with morning tea by her side, delivered faithfully by her friend and helper Beverly. She came in to the sitting room to top Grace’s cup up and said,
“And what is it you’re watching there Grace! I didn’t think you were into politics that much!”
“Oh, I just thought I might tune in to this Summit they are having in Canberra and see if they all tell the truth today or not.” She answered, smiling and stirring her tea.
“Oh yes! Well that will be the day!” Said Bev, looking at her boss sideways a little. “And what make you think they are going to be any different today from their normal lying selves?”
“Oh, just got a hunch!” She said in a cheerful tone and sipped the tea. “Why don’t you gather up the others and get them in for a cup of tea. I think they will enjoy this show!”
Beverly looked at her, wondering where she got the idea that it would be entertaining for them, but she would gather them up just the same. “Oh, by the way, you haven’t seen Sky lately have you?”
“Oh yes, I think she is happily playing in the cottage. She has taken quite a new liking to the dolls house.” Replied Grace. “I haven’t seen her since breakfast.”
“My, she had an appetite today! These kids grow so fast!” Beverly fished. She had noticed that Grace had been acting strangely lately and that Sky had also been a little different to her usual self. And where did Sky get that beautiful dress from that she had on last night? She knew that they hadn’t been out anywhere, and she knew that it wasn’t a dress up or she would have surely noticed. Grace had never been so distant before. It wasn’t that she was unfriendly, no; she was the loveliest lady that Beverly knew. But it was like she was off in a dream world that only she could see and Beverly felt strangely left out. Grace usually confided in her a lot. Especially since her husband had died.
She left Grace to watch her television program, and headed out to the herb garden to hang up the washing.
Henry was out there planting more small Comfrey and Basil seedlings and came over to have a chat.
“How are you Bev?” He asked chirpily and moved his hat back on his head a little.
“Great thanks Henry, and you?”
“Good, good. I feel like something good is going to happen today! I can just feel it in my bones!” He said, looking at the sky and stretching his old aching arm.
“Oh! And what sort of good thing?” She said, looking at him sideways while hanging a tablecloth, making sure it was straight.
“Oh I don’t know. I just feel that something is going to change for the better today. It’s just a feeling that’s all.”
Beverly hung out some more clothes and tea towels and listened to the birds.
“You’ve done a beautiful job of the gardens over the years Henry, it really is a credit to you.” She said after a while.
Henry got a little embarrassed but didn’t show it too much.
“Well…I had a lot of pleasure doing it, but I’m only adding to what was already here when I first came.”
“It really is a special place isn’t it?” She said, and stopped for a moment looking around her.
“Oh my yes! This place is special. You can feel it!” He answered.
It went quiet again. Then she said, “Henry, have you noticed anything different about Grace’s behaviour lately?”
Henry looked at her and didn’t say anything for the moment and after thinking about it he said,
“Well Grace knows more about life than she lets on to most people. I’m sure she’s in a world of her own just from being around her granddaughter. That child is reminding her about her own childhood. Sky is a child with a special kind of magic within.”
“You think that’s all that it is though?” She said, not really believing it.
“Well, so long as she’s happy, be happy for her. She has really missed her man over the past few years. Just go with it, I’m sure all will be revealed soon enough.”
“Yeah, I suppose you’re right. She replied and carried on with her job of hanging the washing. “Oh, Grace would like us all to join her for a cup of tea in the sitting room. Apparently there is something on T.V. she would like us to watch. Something to do with the World Leader Summit.” She shook her head a couple of times with a frown on her face.
Henry nodded his head at what she was saying. He had the strangest feeling inside when she said it. He knew he needed to watch it and without hesitation he said, “Come on then, leave that. Let’s go and see what it’s all about,” and he grabbed her arm gently and pulled her towards the house, before she had time to protest.

Meanwhile at home, Fran was just about to open the door to her visitor. She straightened out her outfit, which consisted of a long purple Indian skirt, and an orange velvet top. Her hair was up and she looked stunning.
The guys were in the garden trying to write a song and out the way for the moment.
She took a breath as the visitor knocked again. Fran opened the door nervously and when she saw him, she remembered how relaxed he was and she instantly relaxed herself.
“G’day! How you going!” He said happily.
“Hi! Pretty good thanks. Please, come on in…” She said, and she shut the door behind him. Leading him into the kitchen she noticed that Baize was fiddling with the TV in the lounge room, but ignored him just for the moment.
“So,” She said, “Would you like a drink? Juice, coffee…?”
“Oh, ah, just a juice would be good thanks.” He said, and followed her to the bench.
“Nice place you got here. Must be nice to live so close to the river.” He said, accepting the drink and taking a sip.
“Yes it is nice.” She agreed, “And I also love it because the forests aren’t that far away. It’s nice to have a bit of both.”
The volume on the TV went up loud by mistake and turning it down, Baize looked around to see who he had offended.
“Sorry!” He said, and came into the kitchen to meet Fran’s new friend.
“G’day!” He said, putting out his hand for Jack to shake it.
“G’day.” He replied.
Fran stepped in to introduce them.
“Jack, I’d like you to meet my son, Baize…Baize this is Jack, who generously shouted me to tea last night.”
Jack laughed, and images of the night before flashed in his mind. “Oh! Your Mum’s a treasure! I’d still be on the side of the road waiting if she hadn’t come along!” He said, looking her straight in the eye and didn’t take his eyes away until she did.
Baize could see that they were smitten with each other, and decided to keep it short. They obviously were itching to get to know each other a little more.
“Well, Jack, it’s good to meet you mate, enjoy your lunch. I’ve got a few mates outside and we’re trying to write a song. So I’d better get back to them. I’m just leaving the TV on Mum ‘cause that World Leader Summit is on this morning. We thought we’d get a few ideas from it.”
Fran nodded watching him tune in the ABC, but it turned out that it was on all the channels anyway.
“Hey may be I could have a jam with you some time.” Jack said, pushing the hair in his eyes out the way. “I play a little guitar, bass, sax.”
“Oh yeah! Any time man, that’d be great! I’ll let you know the details and we’ll catch up.” Replied Baize thrilled to hear he played saxophone also.
“No worries.” Said the visitor, and took another sip of his drink.
Glancing at it quickly, Fran noticed that Tom Coward was talking and being uninterested in what he had to say, shut him out and focused on her gorgeous guest, who was dressed in jeans and a shirt and nice boots, which made him look really smart.
Fran’s focus was entirely on him.

Meanwhile, back at the cave, Podsinia had found the potion gone and in a fit of rage had taken off to stop Sky from ruining her plans.

Sky was busy pouring Honestea into their drinks, and had done about half the leaders and their partners. Tom Coward had finished talking and had handed it over to a United Nations Spokesman who was addressing the first issue on the agenda, which was of wood chipping and deforestation.
Sky got around to Willy Weed and then his colleague. When she rechecked her work and saw the bubbles rising she rushed over to Tom Coward and spiked his drinks also.
She made her way around as fast as she could, being careful not to spill any of her precious ingredients. Yellow Flower was darting backwards and forwards between her and the other folk who were helping. The pixies had already changed some of the settings enabling the broadcast to bypass the broadcasting stations altogether and to go straight out there into peoples homes, uncut.
Lobes was doing a last minute check on all the equipment and distracted the odd person in the news room to get to the knobs he needed to change. He had already been to the broadcasting station and changed all the settings there for worldwide satellite coverage.
Every TV and radio station, in every city and town around the world had the opportunity to watch this World Leader Summit. Now the show was fully live, and it had been done in such a way that no one had noticed.
The next person to get up and speak was the president of Norway. In their own language they told the united congregation that they put forward an amendment placing all untouched forests to go on to the World Heritage List.
“This must be done to ensure the forests for future generations.” He had not had any Honestea as yet, and spoke truthfully for his country that had for years, been avid savers of old forests. “We must not cut down any more natural sanctuaries. We must use the recourses we have to plant trees and create more forests.”
Willy Weed put his hand up and spoke next. “You can’t stop felling forests! What are we going to build our houses with? What are the woodcutters’ families supposed to do when they go home and say they have no job? We can’t print the next budget without paper and well, we’d be lost without toilet paper!” His General and a few others laughed quietly at his comment.
The Dutch leader responded, “Members of the congregation, it is an honour to be here in Australia. We do not have to stop the felling and production of timber entirely. But I agree that we should plan to create more forests and rebuild what we have taken. The world is on the brink of dramatic climate change, but there is a window of opportunity to do something about it. If we can turn our thoughts around to love and not fear, it will be possible to find a balance in this.
“More jobs would be created with the planting of hemp and more trees worldwide could be planted on a massive scale. I also encourage the production of hemp for the use of paper and fabric, all the other products this plant can supply. The growth of hemp farms all over the world will cut the cost of wood chipping and paper manufacture. As this plant has been placed in our midst, we should use it as it was meant to be used.
“The cotton industry is another multinational corporation is sucking the earth dry and diverting water away from worthy causes. It costs less to grow hemp than it does to grow cotton, and the variety of uses is endless. Medicinally hemp can be used for many ailments and diseases, yet this plant has been made illegal, creating the substance abuse we now have. It is no worse or better than cigarettes and alcohol. I put forward a motion to legalize hemp farms to save the forests. And,” he added, “They can be grown as you know, without the THC content.”
There was a murmur with in the hall before anyone else spoke. It was a controversial request, but done with truth and sensibility.
Sky was still working her way around, until she came to a rather large waiter blocking the aisle. She had real trouble getting around him and just waited for a moment while he got the order from the Chinese Leader.
Two of the fairies saw what was happening, and as time was of the essence, they flew down to help.
Rosemally and Jasmine pushed up on the waiter’s tray to unbalance him. He went to save his tray and glasses and while doing this managed to step back far enough without completely falling over the leaders behind him. Sky stepped through the gap whilst he saved the glasses he was carrying and apologised quietly and humbly to the leaders around him. Sky continued her journey around the bench pouring Honestea and the potion into the drinks until she had finally done the last one.
With Yellow Flowers instruction, she headed for Willy Weeds drink and found he was drinking scotch! How could he be sensible drinking that! She placed the powder and the drop of potion into his glass and then headed for Phoney Hair’s cup. He had a mug, but in it was brandy! She spiked his cup, frowning at the attitude of these ‘leaders’.
Sky finished the last of the World Leaders drinks, finishing off with Tom Coward and his sidekick. It was time to now focus on the media. The fairies flew around and made sure all the drinks were touched with the Honestea, which they were. It had gone rather smoothly.
The media pool wasn’t so easy because it was very crowded. Sky found herself stepping over bags, feet and wires and slipping in between chairs. The fairies were kept busy here and made sure no one interrupted the young girl but they also kept their ear on what was being said.
No one noticed straight away, but Sky’s foot was beginning to come visible. She had completely forgotten about not eating meat and thinking nothing about it, she had had bacon and eggs for breakfast!
She was finishing off the last of drinks in the section when she heard a woman say,
“Hey! What was that?” She began glancing under the chair in front of her!

Nutlidge – Chapter Twenty One

Awareness ~ Honesty ~ Responsibility

“Oh don’t worry about it.” Said the guy next to her carrying a hand held movie camera, “It’s probably just a mouse or a cat or somethin’ that got in here. You’ll get more of a news story by watchin’ these jerks over here,” He said, nodding towards the world leaders. “I got a doozey for’em later on. Can’t wait t’see what ol’ Cowards excuse will be!”
The woman shrugged and thought nothing of it again.
Sky looked around for Yellow Flower, and waved her over, heading for some cover behind the toilet door. Another woman, much older, waltzed out tugging at her top heavy blazer and making sure she was neatly dressed, and noticed that the door opened even before she had touched the door handle. Sky dodged her and the lady shook her head and said, “Whoops, one glass too many!” And giggled quietly before she took off out the door.
Yellow Flower followed her into the toilet block and found the cubicle Sky was in. They were alone.
“Oh! Yellow Flower! My foot is visible! Someone thought they saw a mouse or something. What should I do now?” she began to worry.
“It’s alright Sky. Just take a deep breath, and we’ll think of something. Firstly don’t panic…. Did you have any meat this morning for breakfast?”
“No!” Said Sky, “I only had bacon and eggs and potatoes and toast…” She suddenly realized. She hadn’t related the bacon to being ‘meat’ because you had ‘meat’ at night time for dinner. She suddenly felt silly and then thought about the egg and felt even sillier!
Yellow Flower smiled and said, “Not to worry! All of the leader’s drinks have been done and they have already sipped their way through half of it, so they should be well and ready to get really honest with each other! I think we have gotten to enough people. I looked around and the ones we didn’t get to are fairly Earth conscious anyway. I think things will go okay from here!” She gave Sky a squeeze on the shoulder as she fluttered and floated around her friend. “You did a fabulous job Sky! Congratulations! You should be proud of yourself. The world would be proud of you!” She flew up a little and looked over the toilet door to see a clear walkway and said, “Come on, let’s go and find a good place to sit and watch the events!”
They both walked out the room and by this time Sky’s other foot was beginning to become visible. They found a large vase of flowers sitting on the floor in front of a wall ledge. It was perfect to hide her feet and still watch the leaders discuss things. Most of the fairies and pixies stayed around the room watching the events unfold, and watching out also, for anything that could mess up their plan.
By this time Willy Weed was debating still on the timber situation and making it quite clear that there would be no more forests going on the world heritage list in the US. “You all can do what you like with that. We can’t afford to stop choppin’ trees down! The world needs newspapers for Christ sake!”
The Honestea was starting to work though and the conversation took on another direction.
The Leader of Finland said casually but loudly. “Well I suppose you need the newspapers to keep telling people one thing, while you are doing another. Is that not how it goes?”
Willy Weed looked at him and didn’t quite know what to say. He settled for, “well, I’m sure I don’t know what you’re talking’ about, er, the citizens of my country know everything we are doin’. We have no secrets. Isn’t that the idea of this live telecast?” He looked around for approval.
Of course, to the people it was supposed to be live anyway, but with technology it wasn’t hard to cut pieces out of a telecast if needed. However, the pixies and Lobes had made sure it really was satellite television, with no interruptions, no interference and nothing hidden and millions around the world were tuning in.
People were ringing their friends and neighbours. Phone calls overseas were becoming jammed. People were trying to inform as many people as they could to watch the telecast.
The Finland Leader took a sip of his drink, which was water and continued right out of the blue. “Well we are here to help the problems of the world go away are we not?”
“Well, of course, but,” began President Weed.
“Then why is it Sir Weed, that despite you playing the game of ‘World Policeman’, and your government continues to distort the course of justice, how are we to find peace and goodwill on Earth?”
“Well,” said Willy Weed, “I thought the first discussion was on the timber situation.” He was trying not to get angry.
Then the French Governor spoke, “I want to discuss the issue you have here with Sad Man Insane, you should not be planning wars! If you have to go to war, then you have failed as President! Both of you!” He said confidently. “I for one do not wish to allow my country’s people to be involved in this situation. This should be worked out peacefully between the both of you, without dragging the rest of the world into it. I know full well as many of us do now, that your intentions are not honorable! I do not wish to back any country which has war on its agenda!” He nodded his ‘first and final decision’ and took another sip of his French wine.
Willy Weed looked at his General to see what his reaction was. He was just as stunned. The Honestea was only just about to work on them. That is why Yellow Flower had left them last.
Phoney Hair stood up and defended his friend Willy by saying with a plum in his mouth,
“I do not agree with that last statement. I believe that President Weed is just trying to protect the world against terrorists”.
“It is controlled fear!” Said the French President. “We should not allow ourselves to be dragged down to a level of fear as we have been. It is unnecessary!”
“Well you know I was reading on the internet today, and found an opinion poll,” said the Swiss President, “And it said that 81.8% of the population of the world believe that President Weed and his band of merry men are the greatest threat to world peace. Are we not supposed to listen to the worlds people?” He took another sip of his drink.
By this time the phones at the broadcasting station were running hot.
The director was frantic. He couldn’t change the settings. It was like they were glued to the spot. He tried to turn it all off, but that didn’t work either.
Two pixies were sitting on a computer giggling their heads off, watching the people in the station get more and more worried and the room got busier and more frenzied as people rushed here and there trying their very best to sort the problem out.
Lobes was up on a television monitor watching and smiling happily at the event unfolding before him.
The director watched as the German governor spoke again voicing his anger.
“It’s not just oil! There is more to this than what is presented to us! Let’s be frank here! You have NO support from the German Government either! We believe there must be another way.”
At least half of the leaders cheered and clapped their approval of his statement.
Some of the advisers, lawyers, minders and secretaries of these men and women in the camera were beginning to talk amongst themselves. Why were the leaders talking this way? After all the secrets they had been made to keep, here they were, giving President Weed a hard time.
Well, it just got better from there…
Willy Weed had just about had enough and needed to do something about his situation. He pointed his finger at the German President and said angrily, “Is that right! Well I tell you what Sir, if we do go into Iran, it will be to free the people from their suffering and set them free. They can live a new life of democracy.”
The German Leader retaliated to that statement, getting angry. “Excuse me sir, but I do not believe it is necessary to bring this about. There must be a better way.”
Something in President Weed snapped and he was suddenly angry. His schizophrenic mind couldn’t hold the tongue anymore and he began lashing out like that of an angry reptile. He lashed out vindictively. “What about your past? Who are you to judge this situation?”
The German President was horrified!
The United Nations Speaker was bashing his mallet hard on the table in front of him whilst saying loudly, “Gentlemen! Gentlemen…” but no one listened.
“We choose peace!” Called out the leader from Thailand.
“Yes!” Said a deep voice, “And it is possible, but not like this.” The African leader stared at Willy Weed as he fidgeted about.
President Weed looked around not knowing what to do. The only thing he could think of was to try and take the focus off himself, which was like throwing wood on a fire!
“Well since you’re all so interested about our government and what it’s been up to, then you may as well know about the alien communications we have and the truth about the pyramids and the secrets about the bibles that have been kept for hundreds of years!” He realized what he had said and looked at his sidekick in surprise as to what was going on.
Sounds of gasps and ‘Oh no!’ and giggles came from the surrounding audience.
Around the world, they braced themselves to hear what their ‘Leaders’ would say next!
The Pentagon was up in arms, demanding that they stop the broadcast, but it was no good, no matter what they did, they could not do a thing about it. Millions of broadcasting stations around the world were frustrated due to not being able to broadcast their own news programs, and the mayhem continued.
It all got so hectic with harsh words and insults that neither Sky nor Yellow Flower realized that there was a wicked presence lurking behind the next huge vase of flowers. Podsinia had managed to find her way to Canberra, and her target of focus was Sky.
Merlin was in his tower watching all of this in his crystal ball, chuckling to himself! “Ah Sky! What a treasure you are! Nothing can stop them now, and everything is in place and cannot be changed! Pity we can’t do things like this all the time! Still, probably a good thing!” He said to his black cat, which was cleaning a paw on his knee. He made appear in his hand a one-world flag and waved it like a child with a wand, grinning from ear to ear and chuckling happily.
Fran and Jack were watching this by now and had called the guys in from outside. They were laughing and joking about it all, and voicing their amazement of what was happening. Fran hushed them all up to hear what they had to say next.
The World Leaders began having an outright argument on who had done what! It just kept going and it just blew the world away!
No one could believe what they were hearing about. UFO and military cover-ups, laundering and ripping off of public moneys. The stock market was mentioned and the foolhardy things that were going on there, and about those that were making all the money. Not to mention the hundreds of thousands of people who had died around the world, from wars, illness and hunger. They were literally taking over the world and trying to get rid of Earth’s citizens in the process!
“You can’t deny it any longer, the world knows your motives and have enough evidence to take you from government for good. It is time we took our world back!” Called out a Fijian. “And gave it back to our people. We are supposed to be striving for peace, not more problems!”
The few people in the hall suddenly burst into applause and this sent the Leaders and the world reeling! The United Nations Chairman could not get control back and finally the Prime Minister of Australia got up and shocked everyone by whistling down his microphone, bringing all the noise and argument to a sudden halt.
“Thank you…” The room quietened down. “I think we ought to try and be a little more understanding towards one another today, and pointing the finger at people isn’t going help.”
One of the reporters, surprised at his confidence to ask such a thing yelled out. “So are you going to let another country’s leader push you into giving up our oil and other resources in favour of peace in Australia? What about their military bases?”
“Yeah!” Said the reporter who had had his question ready before hand, “Are you going to keep supporting Weed and his methods of ethnic cleansing, or are you going to intervene to save humanity?” This was the second time this had been mentioned, only this time it seemed to sink in more.
People were shocked! A loud chatter was heard in the hall on hearing this, and Grace was horrified, along with her companions who had been enjoying the tea and entertainment!
Tom Coward looked around having a huge urge to say what was on his mind. He looked around, unsure what to do. Willy Weed and his General were glaring at him, Sad Man Insane and Phoney Hair both waiting to hear what he had to say. Their faces didn’t spell friendliness. He looked around the huge assembly and without knowing it; the Honestea suddenly gave him the push he needed.
Instead of thinking again as he usually did, he went ahead and blurted out, “Well, they threatened our peaceful nation if I didn’t comply with what they proposed! What am I supposed to do?” He said, feeling extremely relieved now that it was off his chest. Sad Man Insane kept quiet. He just sat and observed. Dying to confess everything, but he couldn’t have gotten a word in edgeways!
The Representatives of the Native American Cultures were there and one from the Navaho tribe spoke, “It is enough! We cannot clear our troubles this way. Too much has gone by for you all to be accepted as responsible leaders! For thousands of years, it has been our way to be responsible for the land we have been given to use while we are here. The land does not belong to us we belong to the land. It is not our oil! It is Mother Earths Blood! None of the trees belong to us, they are our brothers, the Tall Ones, here for our survival and you keep cutting them down! And you do not hear their cries for help as the fall.
“You poison the air, the water and now, because of your greed and your want for power, our resources are dwindling and you are fighting for it whether it is in your vicinity or not. Instead of allowing it to be shared or to use the natural alternatives that have been discovered, you are guilty of disrupting the natural course of our planet and our civilizations true-life walk. You are all guilty of something! One only has to look into the history books to find out what has gone on amongst you! Libraries of government corruption exist throughout the world and also the universe since ‘Governments’ started.
“Your way does not serve the people, but only yourselves! What will you do when the oil runs out, when there is no clean water to drink and the last fish has been caught! What then? How long must it take for you to realize that your ignorance has caught up with you?”
The whole room was quiet. Everyone in the room was focused on him, even the angry and ‘picked on’ Willy Weed. You could have heard a pin drop.
“These old ways do not serve us any more. Humanity desperately needs a change of direction. One without fear and competition; one with an understanding that we are all equal, and apart from skin colour, we are all the same. Our needs are the same. The Great Spirit is one with us all, he has no denominations, only Love!”
Another voice called out from the Muslim Table, “There is only one God! Our God! He is the most powerful!”
“Allah is the most powerful!” Said someone else, and on it went until fights began to happen between the Leaders and suddenly it was on for young and old! Fists were flying, bad language emerged and traveled around the world and more and more information of their corruption came spilling out! So much had been said and so many World Leaders were put on the spot with one thing or another that they all got put under arrest by order of the United Nations Chairman and no one was allowed to leave the room!
All around the World, peaceful demonstrations began. The Internet was inundated. People were sending millions of emails to friends, family and their governments. Websites, which stored highly secretive information, were greatly sought after and people got interested in what else had been going on inside the World Government Departments. Subjects that contained fact and proof that for years many Governments had made contact and worked with Extraterrestrial Life Forms. They had gained spacecraft technology propulsion and anti gravity techniques. mass mind control. Bases on the Moon and relics on Mars of another civilization.
They found proof that new microchip ID cards were on trial and ready to inject into citizens on a wide scale, but done through vaccinations! There was information on instant healing methods, and truths about Francis Bacon and Shakespeare. Files and files of information about the people’s true ancestry from other planets! All was revealed and this sent the organized religions into frenzy!
The Pope was called out to calm the crowds and he got nothing but scraps thrown at his glass case that he hid behind. Suddenly his people were seeing the real truth. The luxury he lived in, whilst they struggled and lived in squalor, became a focus of attention amongst them. Surely if he was a representative of God, he would share his wealth amongst everyone.
So many things were still coming out. None of them could help it; they just had to tell the truth about what they knew. Their political parties were having fifty fits, and the whole world state of affairs came to a crumbling halt!

Nutlidge ~ Chapter Twenty Two

Nutlidge ~ Chapter Twenty Two

A Cause for Celebration!

Whilst the Summit commotion became louder and more negative, Podsinia took her chance to use this energy and attack Sky and the others. She flew at them all, screeching wildly. She realised that she had gotten there too late and now, and just wanted revenge! The world was at its highest negative vibration and it would soon start to go down, trustingly for the better.
Flying like a cat through the air towards Sky, she slammed into the magical force field that Sky had around her from the crystal that she was wearing. The fairies all flew over, as they had seen Podsinia spring from her hiding spot. The humans, who couldn’t see her before, could now see a young person without a head getting up from the floor running across to the world leader’s area! She knocked over a glass of water into Sad Man Insanes lap making him stand to attention.
Podsinia got up and shook her head, realising what had happened. With angry eyes she took off after Sky. Up the steps Sky went and through the closest aisle. Around she ran, trying to get away from her pursuer. The cameras spotted the girl running and dodging people who were still arguing around her. Lobes fired a white light at the cameraman and knocked him over, spoiling his film take.
Yellow Flower took off after them along with the fairies. The pixies were all gathered with Lobes in a corner of the room, high up on a ledge watching. Yellow Flower had flown over to the other side of the room to meet Sky as she fled.

Meanwhile back in the tree, the nutleys had stopped what they were doing and thousands of them were now humming a note, creating a whole new vibration of energy all on their own. Their collective thought power was on Sky and the planet Earth, surrounding both with loving vibrations of the brightest healing light. With millions of nature spirits around the world and in accordance the Deities of light in the heavens, the Earths vibrations were lifted a little more from its darkness. The light of the All that Is, began to heal the planet.

More cameras spotted Sky and this time her image went around the world in seconds. She managed to keep her face away from the cameras so as not to be recognised.
Fran and Baize and the guys all stopped what they were doing and couldn’t believe their eyes! Who was this kid? Surely that couldn’t be Sky! Fran sat on the edge of her chair watching the incredible happening.
Grace now had a room full of people. A family of five from next door had dropped over; their television had been broken for a while. They were all laughing at the show that was being put on for them and when they saw the young girl, and only a flash of her, all their heads tilted to one side with curiosity! Henry smiled as if he already knew and Grace was calling out loudly, “Good on you love!” Then, realising quickly that she should keep quiet she said, “Well it couldn’t be Sky, she’s playing in the cottage!”

Yellow Flower managed to get Sky to run into the toilets again and sent a thought message out to Lobes. Within seconds, the pixies were all standing in the cubicle with them.
Podsinia was hot on their tails and touched the toilet door forcing it open with all her might. The door slammed against the wall just as Yellow Flower waved the magic dust over them all sending Sky, Lobes and all the fairies and pixies out of the World Leader Summit in a golden flash of crystal light, and back home to the tree. They were gone!
“Damn those varmints!” She screamed, and with a powerful look of evil determination she went into a spin on the spot and disappeared in a puff of black smoke!

The tree folk had done their jobs well and the rest was up to the citizens of the world to bring about the changes they chose. The mission wasn’t entirely over. Elm was still captured and they had to make sure Podsinia wasn’t causing trouble back home.
They appeared at the Nutlidge Center where hundreds of nutleys had gathered. The news that Lord Nutwood and Lady Acacia Nutley had disappeared had spread around the tree like wild fire! They were all there in mass to try and help. Nutwood’s associate, Nutric Heathgum was talking to the people along with Malley Gum. The topic on their arrival was about being calm and positive as usual. Nutric Heathgum was a wise man also and spoke to the tree folk with compassion towards their concern for Acacia and Nutwood.

“Sky here, drink this,” Said Yellow Flower, giving her the Changeabilitea to reduce her size. “I had better let them know where they are!” she said, remembering that Perry and Winkle had told her where the couple was tied up.
“Then we can all hunt for Podsinia and bring this situation to a close. Wait here!” she said and flew off to talk to Malley and Nutric who were still addressing the crowd.
As soon as Yellow Flower had told the nut men where Podsinia’s lair was, Malley held up his hands and said to the crowd, “They are at the City Baths with Elm!”
Suddenly, the massive convergence began to head to the base of the gigantic tree!
Nutleys began running, catching bird flights of all kinds, riding on nut bicycles as far as they could go and then changing to foot, mouse or insect the rest of the way. Some went down the sliding tunnels, which circled the inside of the tree for quick exits and many who could, simply flew! Quite a few nature spirits transported themselves there also. Before long nutleys and gnomes, fairy folk, pixies and many more invaded the city baths where the three hostages were tied up. Faces from all aspects of the Nutlidge community descended on the great caverns!
Podsinia had landed back down in the caves just before hand and was now threatening to kill them all.
Before she could say another word, she was suddenly encompassed with tree folk flooding into the cave around her, from every opening they could find. Podsinia was backed into the corner where Nutwood, Acacia and Elm were tied up.
“Come any closer!” She warned, “And I’ll kill ‘em! Don’t take another step!” She hopped around nervously she pointed her fingers at people. She grabbed hold of Acacia’s arm and squeezed it painfully hard. Acacia wailed in pain.
“Stop it! That is not necessary!” Called Nutwood, worried for his beloved.
The crowd stepped closer and began to direct all their love energy towards her. All their compassion, all their joy and love of life was sent to her from their hearts. To see it was magical. Tiny sparkles of gold light emanated from the crowd and it glowed like treasure.
Podsinia began to cringe with fear. She panicked and grabbed Acacia’s hair making her wince again from the pain.
“Let her go!” Called out a frightened Sky and she pushed her way down to the front of the crowd. “Let them go! You can have me!” She said, “Take it out on me! I’m the one who’s ruined your chance of survival!”
The tree folk didn’t budge; they just kept focusing their entire concentration on to Podsinia, keeping her nasty energies contained to the cavern. The two were focused on each other, their eyes locked hard.
The tree witch didn’t like the feeling that was surrounding her and lashed out in anger, shooting a murky purple and white bolt of lightning through Sky’s heart. She dropped to the floor and those who were around her went to her aid. She was out cold and wasn’t breathing.
“Underestimate me will you!” She screamed out at them in fear, “I’ll show you who’s more powerful!” She waved her arm to shower the tree folk with bolts of lightning but the force around her was so powerful it shielded the crowd from her terror.
“You can’t beat it Podsinia,” said a weary Elm, ‘It’s no use! The deed has been done and the anger around the world will soon calm. The path to peace is already paved.”
Podsinia tried again and again to destroy the city’s folk with her forces of black hatred, but could not get past the shield of love they had put up around her.
She went to grab Acacia again but the force had shielded them also. There was nothing left for her to do but get angrier and angrier running like a scared cat in the area she had left to move around in, screaming viciously until she finally collapsed hurling abuse and moaning from the rapid loss of energy. She slowly withered away to nothingness leaving only a wisp of smoke in her place. The whole congregation kept their concentration until there was nothing left.
The vine-like roots that tied the captives up, fell lifelessly from their hold. Acacia and Nutwood rubbed their wrists and gave each other a comforting hug. Elm did the same and came over to them giving each of them a warm hug also.
The focus was now on Sky. The lifeless form lay in the arms of a Nutley. Yellow Flower, Florrel and Coral had made their way to the girl who had changed their lives.
The gold fairy knelt down and took her hand and with the help of all those in the room focusing on Sky, a halo of healing energy was beginning to glow around her. It took a few precious moments, but Sky started to breath again and opened her eyes to see a crowd of tree folk looking down at her.
“Sky.” Whispered Yellow Flower as Curley slipped and squeezed his way through the crowd to her side.
“It’s alright. It is safe now.” She stroked her hand to comfort her.
Even though the crystal she wore didn’t stop the impact of Podsinia’s wrath, it had actually saved her life. It glowed amber as they helped to sit her up.

Back in Canberra amidst a chaotic crowd, 78 world representatives out of 100 were arrested for treason, theft of public moneys, drug trafficking charges, hiding public information and many other such offences.
Willy Weed was carted out for yelling obscenities to the United Nations Chairman and other leaders, threatening them with more violence, but still spilling his truths out everywhere! Other World Leaders were handcuffed and charged with offences toward their country and people. The people of the world would do investigations now and nothing else would ever be covered up like it had been.
Finally the timing on the spells that kept the world linked up to satellites came to an end and the world’s broadcasting stations suddenly began to function properly, and they were able to allow broadcast their own news stories. But it had really all been said and done. The world was set for a massive change of direction for the better. There was nothing the media could say that could change the reality of what was now full knowledge in every home and heart around the planet. Their governments had lied and cheated and let them down completely. But it could now be turned around and Mother Earth and its peoples could now be helped and healed.

Grace was sitting there, stunned and happy at the same time! To think that her granddaughter had been a big part of all that! Fran had rung her mother about it and Beverly and Henry and most of the household folk were all still talking about it all.
“What’s going on there Mum? Was that Sky we saw on TV?”
“In Canberra!? Well that would be impossible dear. She is just within the garden playing with some local folk… Don’t worry; I’ll get her to give you a ring when she comes in. Oh goodness I must go, I have guests that are trying to say goodbye…I’ll talk to you later, bye dear!” Said Grace, cutting the phone call short. Fran would find out all about it soon enough.
Fran put the phone down feeling bewildered and frustrated all at the same time. Her friend Jack was still there watching the news and having some laughs with the Baize and his mates. They had already got some lyrics going for the perfect song of which they were jamming a little with hands on tables and verbal impressions of a whining guitar.

The celebrations in Nutlidge went for hours and hours! The Centre had never seen such festivities as this.
Music rang out from the balcony of the Palace and all over the tree as people danced and ate and celebrated their victory. Yellow Flower, with Dusty on her shoulder, and Sky were looking at some of the dresses the fairy folk had turned out in. Sky had her Jacaranda dress on now and looked positively stunning!
Malley arrived carrying some drinks for them all, and a fresh bag of popped flower seeds. They were a favourite of the tree folk, a bit like popcorn is to kids!
They had a fantastic position on a branch just a few steps out of the crowds, where they could oversee the festivities. Elm and Lobes were there, eating fruit and drinking Red Gum wine. Apparently it was a few thousand years old and Elm thought it quite the occasion for such a treat. Nutwood and Acacia had joined them and were also enjoying a drink and they all watched the as the crowds continued to enjoy the festivities.
Nutleys of all ages came out to join in. Nuttles were dressed up; street performers were out in their best costumes and performing their best performances ever. Stalls had appeared here and there helping feed the crowds who came to laugh and enjoy the music. Laughter rang out through out the tree and its massive boughs and forests of foliage.
Suddenly trumpets sounded and the music and festivities came to a quiet stop. What now?
The trumpets sounded again and this time the doors to the Nutlidge entrance were opened. Everyone looked at the doors, when a voice rang out. It was Nutric Heathgum. He was standing on the palace balcony.
“Thank you, thank you, and I promise I won’t keep you long! I just thought it was appropriate to mention that it is a very special anniversary today, of all days. Our beloved Nutlidge has just turned twenty thousand years old!”
From the doorway emerged a massive birthday cake made from thousands of nut muffins, and topped with every kind of fruit and berry you could imagine! The crowd roared and applauded the tree in her magnificence.
In response to their acknowledgement of her, the tree seemed to come alive! The boughs and leaves all glowed in the darkness and shone a golden light over all who were there. Nutwood headed to the cake to speak to the people of Nutlidge. Behind the cake came a display of butterfly dancers, fairy ballerinas and the Kurrajong Band set up on a small stage with wheels, and being pulled along with a nut version of a human designed model T Ford! It was spectacular!
Lord Nutwood stood there, in awe of the cake and of the fact that with all the things that had gone on lately it was simply wonderful!
They all cheered Nutwood on up to the special platform they had made for him to reach the top of the cake. It was decorated with flowers of all kinds and had tiny birds that flew around to make the words, ‘Happy Birthday Nutlidge’. He stepped up to the platform and stood looking out to the entire crowd around him. They cheered still and clapped for him. He couldn’t speak for a moment because he was too choked up. Curley made his way up to him in his usual swinging way and handed him a tiny bag of powder, and whispered, “Here you go Lord Nutwood,” and swung down again to where Florrel and Acacia were now standing with Sky and the rest of their little group.
“Speech!” Called out a small pixie in the crowd and everyone cheered that too.
Nutwood was lost for words for the first time in his life. He was also still a little emotional after the last day’s events, and the fact that even though he knew that Nutlidge was quite safe all the time, he couldn’t help but wonder what it would be like without it.
He wiped the tear from his eye and sniffled a little and took a deep breath.
“My friends,” he began. “What a wonderful gift this is in celebration of our livelihood.” He swallowed back another lump in his throat. “I know each and everyone of you, and I am blessed in the knowledge that you are all a part of this huge happy family. If it weren’t for you all, we could not have overcome our troubles as we did. I have a special thank you, on behalf of all of Nutlidge; I would like to thank our little human friend, Sky!”
The cheers were for her this time and all eyes were on the stunning young fairy girl. She waved to everyone and blew a kiss to Nutwood.
“Without her help today, our home may have never been the same. Also, I must thank Yellow Flower for everything she did today; we couldn’t have done it with out you and our wonderful fairy and pixie folk!”
The crowd applauded again with cheers of encouragement and thanks.
“And, we cannot forget Elm and Lobes for their great assistance…” More applauding was heard and seen.
“And,” he said turning to the two pixie brothers, “The bravery of Perry and Winkle when rescuing the potion is to be complemented.” As the crowd clapped for them they went bright red and their friends nudged them cheekily.
“The other person I would like to thank, and without his help we could not have done this at all. Merlin! If you are listening!”
The crowd went into a frenzy of whistles and cheers for the wizard of old.
Suddenly, before anyone could say another word a magical display of fireworks broke loose above them, showering them in rainbow light. The crowd cheered their way through this surprise event that Merlin had obviously sent them.
“The world is on its way to recovery!” Stated Nutwood victoriously. “When they realise how beautiful life can be, they won’t want to go back to what they were doing before!” This time he laughed with the crowd who knew exactly what he was on about. “As you know, it is our every thought that creates our moments. This is a fantastic thought!”
He laughed again and gestured towards the cake. “So, may I bring this thought alive and may you all have a fabulous night!”
With this he threw the glitter from the pouch over the cake and it came alive with hundreds of firebugs.
They danced around the cake lighting up all the sparkle that hovered like magic around it making a spectacular show all on its own!
The folk of Nutlidge roared with good cheer and the entertainment before them. A large float of nut bowls and spoons came out from the Nutlidge entrance and the cake was ready to eat!
It was so big! It was definitely a help-yourself meal all on its own! But fairies were on the ready to help with the serving in any case.
Sky was staying with Yellow Flower that night, who had met a very handsome male fairy in the crowd, named Dew and was getting rather acquainted. With him, was his young friend Leif, the handsome fairy that Sky had seen in the fairy glen a few days earlier. He was introduced to a blushing Sky!
Sky watched her new fairy friend walk over to get some cherry juice when Malley and Florrel came to chat with her.
“Sky, you look beautiful!” Said Florrel, “That colour really does suit you!”
“Oh! Thank you!” Said Sky, blushing brightly again. She did feel good and she felt like one of the crowd.
Malley took a small parcel from his cocoon backpack and held it for a moment.
“You know Sky, we really are proud of what you did for us all. It was a very courageous thing and it won’t ever be forgotten you know.” He looked down at the ground for a moment. He always got a little choked up when it came to speeches.
“It has been a wonderful experience getting to know a human such as you. Florrel and I have the honour in returning to you a treasure in which you owned in a past incarnation. It came to us through Merlin.” He held out the gift to a bashful Sky and she took it looking at both of them with her big blue eyes.
“It was my pleasure to do it for you all.” She said humbly, “I think your world is just wonderful! You are the nicest people I’ve ever met and I would do anything to help you. You’d only have to ask.” She looked at them intently for a moment before giving them both a hug. Sky opened the bound leaf package and there amongst silk fibers, was the most beautiful crystal pendant she had ever seen.
The see-through pyramid crystal was a mixture of precious gems molded together with such preciseness; you couldn’t tell how it was made. The colours of the rainbow followed the patterns of the beautifully cut piece. Red rubies were in the center circle, followed by a square orange carnelian, a yellow citrine triangle, a green emerald hexagon, and a light blue tourmaline star. There was an indigo sapphire circle, a violet fluorite rope and a pink diamond frame, which was diamond cut so as it sparkled like that of a thousand diamonds. The chain was also intricately made up of gems of moonstone, labradorite, dioptase, azezulite, garnet, zincite, danburite and aquamarine.
With her mouth open and her eyes fixed on the stunning necklace, she looked closely at it in awe.
“Oh it is just gorgeous!!” She held it up to the light and it was magical. “This looks like an absolute treasure! I couldn’t possible accept this!” She could tell that this was a very special piece of jewellery and it looked felt like she was holding many life times in her hand. The hairs on her arms and the back of her neck stood up and she suddenly felt lighter. It was a strange comforting sensation.
Malley and Florrel looked warmly at each other for a moment, Malley looking at Florrel, and then back at Sky.
“This pendant is yours Sky.” Replied Malley comfortingly. “It has been in Merlin’s care for a very long time waiting for the right owner to come along.”
“But how could I be…” Began Sky.
“It glows whenever your name is mentioned, see…” Said Florrel, and indeed the symbol was glowing! When it glowed, a spiral rainbow owl showed itself and sparkled.
Sky’s eyes reflected her bewilderment. She didn’t understand. Why her?
“But what do I do with it?” She said getting worried, “It is too good to wear all the time, it might break…”
“Sky, it’s alright,” said Florrel putting her arm around her. “This would not have come to you unless you were its rightful owner. It cannot harm you it can only empower you. You have the key to great treasures Sky. You only have to accept it for it to serve you again.”
Sky looked intently at her two dear friends and at the pendant and then back at them. “Okay…I accept. Thank you.” She said cautiously, and immediately the crystal chain placed itself around her neck as if by magic.
